Peter developed his media and management skills with publisher Trinity Mirror. He worked as a news, crime, feature and sports writer for the Liverpool Echo and Liverpool Daily Post before being appointed editor of several titles including the Crosby Herald, Bootle Times and the Advertiser Series of newspapers in West Lancashire.
After 20 successful years in the newspaper industry Peter has worked as a media consultant since 2008, co-ordinating PR and media campaigns for law firms, chartered accountants, NHS trusts, a national medical research institute, a city regeneration body as well as within the construction, engineering services, sporting, catering, business management and training sectors.
Peter is a former chairman of Merseyside NUJ, a member of Liverpool John Moores University and Edge Hill University’s accreditation panels for the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and a Media Trust adviser. He is a regular guest on BBC Radio Merseyside. Peter has also written for the Guardian about the North West. Peter, a school governor at two schools and a teaching school, and his schoolteacher wife have four children - aged 7 to 16.

Tony is one of the North West’s best known and successful broadcasters of the last 25 years. He has worked for BBC Radio Merseyside since 1997 after a successful early career on commercial radio in Liverpool. Interviewing hundreds of guests every year on his breakfast show including politicians, professionals and entertainers, Tony is perfectly placed to reveal the secrets of radio interviewing. Interview or podcast training is fun and can boost an individual’s confidence when dealing with the media and in their day-to-day job. Training is also suitable for students of primary and secondary age.
With over 24 years experience in photography having worked as a professional photographer for the Liverpool Echo, Southport Visiter and other newspaper titles. In that time Gareth won numerous awards including O2 Photographer of the Year twice in 2009 and 2014 and Trinity Mirror Photographer of the year in 2013. Gareth was also shortlisted by the FA Premier league for his images whilst covering Liverpool FC and Everton FC.
